In the Florida Senate District 29 race, voters opted to stick with a veteran Republican incumbent over a Democratic challenger who lives in Port Charlotte on Florida's west coast.
Incumbent Erin Grall, a Vero Beach native, handily won her first full four-year term in the Senate by beating Democrat Randy Aldieri, who listed his address in Port Charlotte, according to final, unofficial results from the Supervisor of Elections Office.
In 2022, Grall was elected to a two-year Senate term, which was created through redistricting. District 29 stretches between Sebastian and Port St. Lucie and west beyond Okeechobee.
Prior to election to the Senate, Grall served three terms in the Florida House, representing Indian River and northern St. Lucie counties.
